This is just sad. How dare they call this thing the TE3? Blasphemy! lol. The PS3/4 gen MadCatz sticks were legendary, I still have a TE, TE-S, and TE2+ and all of them are quality products worth owning/modding. Now they're making their arcade sticks just like their other products, rebranded designs with no care or thought put into them. The case isn't even worth modding, this is pretty much e-waste.

I realize you hjave mentioned that this is available for all ez mods but just to confirm: this should work on the qanba obsidian ez mod as well right? also im not sure which is faster: the new brooke ps5 board or ezmod upgraded to ps5. Thinking about getting the EZ MOD for my Qanba Pearl. I was wondering though, with the EZ MOD, can I still use the blue ports on the UFB to individually wire the pushbuttons for cleaner cable management instead of using the default wires that come with the mod? Also, does the UFB only fit one way? Or can I put it the other way around where the blue terminals are facing the pushbuttons?

I got a TE3 ONLY because the former TEs aren't available new at a good price. I'm a mad scientist so I'm in the process of Dual-PCB modding it with a Brook wireless board (madness). I'm all about clean mods, so it'll be nice. I like the heftiness, the compartment feature, the foam pad for lap play, and the easy access to the internals by having a briefcase design. I think the design is okay but I like the OG TEs design more. I have experience doing advance modding so I figured out how to dual-mod the TE3. I'll definitely post once it's done

I grew up with Mad Catz product and we're about the same age! Sad to see the former company go bankrupt. I'm going to try to dual-mod the TE3 with a "Brook Wireless Fighting Board" as I did with my Qanba Crystal. As far as I know, I'm probaby the first and only one in the FGC with a dual PCB modded Crystal. Nothing was sacrificed and ALL functions on both Stock and Brook boards work. It's a very clean mod (2nd version, lol). I even integrated all Brook board auxiliary functions with the stock PCB with the help of Jasen's video on the breakdown of the Crystal and it works flawlessly. I even added an extended battery. I'm a MAD scientist, so I'm sure I'll figure this one out too and it'll be fun! TE2+ way better than this, specially with all the mods I done to it, is almost the same price as a new TE3... and it works with everything.

With the panthera they flipped the j2 connector to under the board cuz it's sandwiched. Where does that go to, the thick black cord on the way left of the ezmod?

heyo! Just ran into these videos as I wanted to get the pin locations of the brook boards into fusion360. Awesome follow along! Sucks Fusion360 changed a lot of the software, but got the gist of it done. I see theres no update past this and not sure if it was addressed somewhere, but think you got the pinouts reversed on the PS5 upgrade board. The cable I have and whats on the company's website are in a different order than the photo you were referencing in your live stream. Think that person got the wrong cable made. Prob doesnt matter being a couple of years later but just in case people that are in your buymeacoffee that have access to the file so they dont get the wrong pinout. I havent' gotten much further in looking up your progress but did you get to a prototype phase?

I just opened mine up today to put in a new board, and theres a wire soldered to the pcb that connects to the casing. I didn't see it in yours, bit I'm guessing it's the ground wire? Anything i can do to get around it?

adding the up5 is a little more complicated on a panthera or vlx stick with ez mod, the J2connectors are soldered to the front of the ez mod board... so you have to unsolder the J2 connector and put it back on top of the ufb board? no other solutions? THANKS

This is the info I was looking for. I have 4 Mad Catz TE's, two for x-box, two for PS3. Am I better off buying a couple of these or upgrading all of the original TEs with Brooks Fighting Boards to bring them up to date? Both options seem pricey, but I get the feeling I'll be better off with the second option.
